GACT presents a sensory-sensitive "Annie" preview for families of children of all abilities. The preview, made possible by a grant from the Dietrich Foundation of Greenville (Pittsburgh Foundation), will feature several songs from the show, a chance to meet some of the cast and crew, as well as a favor and snack for each participant. There will be subdued lighting, no mics, and all participants will be able to move around for their own comfort and at no cost.

The preview will be held from 6:30pm to 6:55pm, Thursday, August 2nd at the William A. robinson Theater at Thiel College

Tanner feels so blessed to be welcomed onto the GACT Board! He has been a part of GACT for as long as he can remember: from coming to see the shows as a kid, to selling water at the door, then tech and stage crew, and finally on stage. Tanner is currently a student at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. His GACT debut was as Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz. This past summer, Tanner was on stage in Blame It On the Movies. He looks forward to continuing his work on the stage and serving on the board with the people who have inspired him so much.

Welcoming our newest board members: Part 1

Please join us in welcoming Heather Balas to the board of directors.

Heather Balas got involved in GACT in high school to perform in The Man Who Came to Dinner. She was an actor in the group for many years, performing in many shows under the direction of Bill Robinson, including Working, Once Upon A Mattress, and her favorite, Into the Woods. For the last few years she has moved to apply her talents back stage, helping with tech needs and serving as Stage Manager for the past two seasons. Heather is thrilled to join the board and help lead this organization that has been such an important part of her life since she was 17.

As the curtain closes on 2017, we want to thank our dedicate board members who have served our organization well over the years. Some of these board members will not be returning in 2018, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their service. We will be welcoming a total of four new board members as we move into the 2018 season. Heather Balas, Valerie McDonald Amrhein, Tanner Yake, and Kristina Reeher.

Here we go. What a nice memory. GACT 2009 cast of Into The Woods. Did you know that Benjamin Beck, who played the role of Jack, did so while suffering from Shingles?
